Offering an internship
Register as an employer on the IAESTE Exchange Platform (abbreviated to EP). After verification from the IAESTE Germany National Committee, you will receive your login details. We would be happy to send you guidelines on drafting a placement offer.
The recruitment services performed by the IAESTE’s German Committee are free of charge for employers in Germany. The intern’s salary will be your only expense.
The IAESTE statutes stipulate that the intern’s salary must, at a minimum, cover student living costs incurred while staying in the host country.
In Germany, interns are entitled to the payment of the legal minimum wage. Compulsory placements and those lasting a maximum of three months are exempt from this rule. At present, a monthly salary of 992,00 euros is deemed adequate to cover living costs in Germany, a figure based on the maximum amount paid by BAföG financial assistance scheme.
The more detailed your placement description is, the more suitable the applicants we can suggest to you will be. You can also download the application dossiers easily and quickly via the Exchange Platform, informing us of your decision with just two clicks.
"Reserved Internship" - Internships from students who have already been selected
You have received an application independently from IAESTE and would like to have this student as an intern?
At IAESTE we call this a “Reserved Internship”.
The process of such a “Reserved Internship” through IAESTE Germany is subject to some conditions. This is because a “Reserved Internship” is not part of our main business. Normally, we offer your internship position at IAESTE and suggest suitable applicants. For these offered internships, we receive an internship offer in return from the nominating foreign IAESTE committee. This way we can always offer internships in Germany as well as internships abroad. For a “Reserved Internship”, however, we do not receive an offer from the foreign committee, so these are to be considered separately.
